Part 2: Somatic Interventions for Therapists
In our last training, we explored the foundations of somatic approaches, felt sense, and tracking sensation in session. Many of you really liked how somatic approaches can integrate seamlessly with the modalities and approaches you already use.
You do not have to have attended Part 1 to attend Part 2!
Part 2:
Part 2 is your chance to add on more skills and deepen your understanding from the foundation you’ve built.
We’ll expand on the tools from Part 1 and create space for more guided practice and Q&A. I am extending the time to a full 3 hours so there is more space for breaks, practice, & discussion.
You’ll learn:
Pendulation & Titration – guiding clients to gently move between activation and calm, so they can process without overwhelm
SIBAM Model – a simple 5-part framework (Sensation, Image, Behavior, Affect, Meaning) for helping clients explore and integrate their experiences
Vagal Toning Exercise – an easy, body-based practice to support nervous system regulation and resilience
Exercises you can use for a client in each state of the nervous system
More time to practice and experience it as a client
A chance to meet and network with other like-minded clinicians
Who it’s for:
Practitioners looking for more education about somatic approaches and experiential practice
Date: October 11th
Time: 10am-1pm
Location: TBD
Investment: $150
