Individual Therapy

Somatic & Trauma

Individual therapy is a space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. I specialize in helping high-achieving women and sensitive, driven adults who feel burned out, stuck in perfectionism, or disconnected from their own needs. Many of my clients appear successful on the outside but feel exhausted inside—struggling to set boundaries, worrying about others’ reactions, or feeling like they have to hold it all together.

In our sessions, we’ll work with both your mind and your body. Using Somatic Experiencing®, nervous system education, mindfulness, and parts work, I help you recognize when you’re in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn states—and develop tools to return to a place of greater safety and ease. We may work with the “trauma vortex,” explore old patterns with compassion, and build new ways of relating to yourself and others.

My approach is relational, warm, and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel supportive and grounding while also giving you practical skills you can use between sessions. Over time, you’ll learn to trust your body’s signals, soften self-criticism, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and spacious.

I offer in-person therapy in Midtown Memphis and online therapy for clients across Tennessee. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or the lingering effects of trauma, individual therapy can help you come home to yourself and create the changes you’ve been wanting.

In somatic work, we let the body lead us, with curiosity and compassion, asking our inner judge to step aside.

Somatic Experiencing® is a gentle, body-based approach to healing trauma and chronic stress. Developed by Dr. Peter Levine, SE works by helping you tune into the sensations in your body, so you can safely process and release the effects of overwhelming experiences.

Rather than revisiting painful memories in detail, SE focuses on supporting your nervous system to shift out of fight, flight, or freeze responses. Through guided awareness, grounding tools, and small, manageable steps, you can build greater capacity for calm, resilience, and connection.

Many clients find SE helpful for reducing anxiety, easing tension, improving sleep, and feeling more at home in their own bodies. It can be integrated into talk therapy or practiced as a standalone approach, and it’s effective for both recent stress and long-held patterns.
