Breathwork is a modality that connects the heart and mind. Breathwork can bypass the brain and give you a direct experience of the body and heart. The breath can help the body release emotion, stuck tension, and physical pain. This practice can create more space in the heart to have a shift in perspective, gain more clarity, and feel more presence and peace.
Breathwork is facilitated in the laying down position, and I guide a deep inhale and deep exhale over the course of 40-60 minutes. I have music and scents that help the body surrender to the flow of the breath.
Breathwork can induce an altered state of consciousness, which can be an opportunity for deep awareness of self.
This experience can bring about a sense of feeling relieved, lighter, seeing visions, and being over-whelemed with love and gratitude.
I lead a trauma-informed practice, meaning you can go at your own rate and pace. There is no pressure to push yourself ot have a catharsis or a deep experience. But rather a slow and safe descent to the heart.
I offer breathwork sessions as well as incorporate breathwork into my therapy practice.
